Can space form the core of transformation with other life forms it organizes? From this point of view, two neighborhoods, Cumhuriyet and Saraçugu, which are added to the historical Mardin texture and planned to be transformed in an urban sense, will be analyzed. How can we handle the concept of "Transformation", which is handled through value change by transforming more physical and quantitative values ​​in the field of architecture, in a way that includes more sociological and local data together with the conditions pregnant with the crises we are in? How can the transformation of a neighborhood be realized from within and by using the unifying and transforming power of the place, taking its internal dynamics and residents as a reference?

Mekan örgütlediği başka yaşam biçimleri ile dönüşümün çekirdeğini oluşturabilir mi? Bu bakış açısı ile tarihi Mardin dokusuna eklemlenen ve kentsel anlamda dönüştürülmesi planlanan iki mahalle, Cumhuriyet ve Saraçoğu mahalleleri analiz edilecektir. Mimarlık alanı içinde daha çok fiziksel ve niceliksel değerler üzerinden dönüştürülerek değer değişimi üzerinden ele alınan “Dönüşüm” kavramını içinde bulunduğumuz krizlere gebe koşullar ile birlikte daha sosyolojik ve yerel verileri içerecek şekilde nasıl ele alabiliriz? Bir mahallenin dönüşümü kendi iç dinamiklerini ve sakinlerini referans alarak içerden ve mekanın birleştirici ve dönüştürücü gücü kullanılarak nasıl gerçekleştirilebilir?
